March Update
Hi Church,
Hope you’ve had an incredible start to the year. What a beautiful summer it’s been! Well, there’s so much we could share, but to respect your time we wanted to highlight just a couple of things.
Firstly Lent. Lent is the 40 days that lead towards Easter and the opportunity to focus on the journey towards the cross. The season of Lent has always been observed by followers of Jesus around the world. This year we are going to join together with Christians all around the world and focus on Jesus, His death and resurrection. During Lent Christians take time to fast and pray. We invite you to remove something from your life that will help you to focus on Jesus — by removing a distraction we can fix our eyes more fully on Him.
Secondly, over the past few weeks we have been sharing about how we are planing to walk into the future together, declaring "Ka Mua, Ka Muri".
We really hope you’re enjoyed the gatherings and valued the transparency and openness in which we are sharing. If you missed the gatherings, we’d encourage you to click the links below and watch through our plans for governance and also our heart and plans for giving.
(Governance, Staff, Church Ministry Structure, etc)
(Giving, Projects, Curate Cares, etc)
We were excited to share the different projects for this year and how each person can play a part. A big thank you to those who have already given and it’s with great joy we announce we have been able to cross a few things off the list already!
We did want to say, for those that have made pledges in years past, we wanted to release you from any pressure you may feel to fulfil those pledges. It’s a new year and new day! However, if you still have a heart to fulfil or renew your giving, we would be honoured to go on that journey with you. If you are wondering, all donations are tax deductible and you will receive a donations tax receipt after 31st March, the end of the financial year.
Our heart is to grow and see this beautiful church flourish as we all build it together. God has a plan for Curate church, and we are humbled to be a part of it. Praying Gods best over your families and 2025. We are here for you, cheering you on. If we haven’t had the pleasure of meeting you yet, please come say "hi"!
God bless, Nick and Sarah
