IN WORSHIP
Take time each day to spend time worshipping God. Put on some worship music or sit in silence, adoring Jesus.
IN PRAYER
Take time each day to talk to God. Pour out your heart to Him. Pray through scriptures, thanking God. Set an alarm for 12pm every week day and join in with us to pray for our church.
IN FASTING
Choose one or two things that you will give up (social media, junk food, coffee, etc) that will remind you to turn towards Jesus - gaining God forever.
“Fasting is not just about giving up something for a few weeks every year. It’s about gaining God forever, and then being involved in what He is doing for the rest of our lives.”
- Robert Ferguson
LENT WITH YOUR COMMUNITY
Lent is a great time to build deeper connections with people within your church community. One of the best ways to do this is in Connect Groups. Join a group to grow deeper, together.
GOING DEEPER
Lent is a time to go deeper in our spiritual practices and enjoy more time being with our Heavenly Father. Make the most of this season by spending more time in prayer and the Word by using the Lectio365 devotional below.

SO WHAT IS LENT?
The word “Lent” originates from the Old English word “lengten,” simply meaning “spring,” as Lent falls during spring in the northern hemisphere. Lent is a time of anticipation, celebrating the victory of Christ’s light and life over the darkness of sin and death. As C.S. Lewis famously said, Lent is a season of “happiness and wonder that makes you serious.”
We pray that as you journey with us from Ash Wednesday (February 18th) to Maundy Thursday (April 2nd), you will be reminded of the reality of our broken humanity and experience God’s redeeming grace with greater abundance. Just as we carefully prepare for significant events in our personal lives, such as weddings, Lent invites us to prepare our hearts for remembering Jesus’ death and resurrection.
BUT WAIT!
Aren't there 46 days between Ash Wednesday and Holy Saturday? Why?
SUNDAYS are not counted as part of Lent. On Sunday we gather to worship, to celebrate the resurrection and partake in the feast of communion. Sundays are always for feasting - always in every season, so cannot be counted as part of the Lenten fast.
