assistant to Lead Pastors

How would you like to assist our Lead Pastors?

Curate exists to be a global movement and voice, releasing people's potential in Jesus by creating communities where people can belong, believe, become, and build.  Could you be the person who releases our Lead Pastors, enabling them to advance the vision of Curate in all the aspects their roles encompass?
 
Generally speaking this role includes (but is not limited to) the following: 

  • You are responsible for oversight, help and care of Curate Lead Pastors' schedules, communications and their responsibilities during the working week

  • Coordinate, facilitate, attend and minute meetings as required

  • Carry out and present research or collation of information and reports as required

  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, key stakeholders, other church teams and Curate staff on behalf of the lead Pastors

  • Develop methods and procedures to increase productivity

  • Organise all travel arrangements and create itineraries

  • Administrative duties as required

  
This paid position could be between 20 to 40 hours a week, depending on the candidate.
  
The successful applicant will be/have: 

  • Excellent administration skills and be administrative by nature

  • Have a character and approach that will represent the Lead Pastors well both internally and externally

  • A high level of attention to detail

  • Organised, with a professional work ethic

  • Able to work both autonomously and as a part of a team, with excellent people skills

  • Experience in administration or Executive assistant/ Personal assistant would be beneficial

  • A large capacity, ability to take great initiative and to make things happen

  • Able to build a team of volunteers to assist with aspects such as Sunday duties

  • Spiritual maturity and a pleasant, forgiving, non-judgmental, but assertive manner

  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines whilst remaining calm

  • Ability to communicate well both written and verbally with all levels of team, Curate community and general public

  • A high level of Confidentiality

Beyond Us coordinator

Beyond Us is a key part to releasing people in our neighbourhood and around the world into the potential Jesus has for them. People are the most valuable thing on earth - so we are on a mission to share the heart of Jesus by meeting the needs of the most vulnerable. We believe in people when no one else does. 

Could you be the person who leads Curate to reach more people than ever before? We are looking for a Beyond Us co-ordinator who’s ready to run with the vision and take it to new heights!

This role has both a central focus - Overseeing all our global initiatives and Curate-wide local projects across all locations, and a location based focus - Coordinating Beyond Us initiatives for our Mount Maunganui location. It will require a high-capacity leader, who is able to lead people, think strategically, and execute large projects. 

Generally speaking this role includes (but is not limited to) the following: 
 

Beyond Us Central Co-ordinator:

  • Curate-wide project management

  • Co-ordination of global initiatives, relationships and commitments

  • Ensure other locations are empowered and supported to execute Beyond Us strategy in their locations

  • To work with external funding providers and the Curate Church community to achieve, expand and develop Curate’s portfolio of Beyond Us Central and Global initiatives

  • To manage the Beyond Us central budget

 
Beyond Us Mount Maunganui Co-ordinator:

  • To activate Curate Mount Maunganui to be reaching out beyond the walls of the church to support the Mount Maunganui community

  • To build a team of volunteer leaders to lead teams of volunteers in order to actively participate, support and run projects in the Mount Maunganui community

  • To work with external funding providers and the Curate Church community to achieve, expand and develop Curate’s portfolio of Beyond Us initiatives

  • To manage the Beyond Us Mount Maunganui budget

  
This is a 20 hour a week paid role.
  
The successful applicant will be/have: 
• A person with a large capacity, ability to think strategically and to make things happen
• A person who is able to work with key stakeholders and develop relationships with external funding entities
• A person who is able to build a team of volunteers and lead people at a high level
• Spiritual maturity consisting of a pleasant, forgiving, non-judgmental, but assertive manner
• Initiative
• Ability to work under pressure but remain calm
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate well both written and verbally with all levels of team, Curate community, and general public
